The 10th edition of the 2011 World Cup is underway in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. A total of 14-team are competing in the event along with hosts India and Sri Lanka. After the Bangaladesh national anthem was played out, the captains of respective teams entered the stadium on decorated rickshaws.
The Central Organising Committee (COC) for the ICC Cricket World Cup (ICC CWC) 2011 made the recommendation in its meeting held in the Indian city of Mumbai Wednesday .
The meeting chaired by ICC vice-president Sharad Pawar was attended by ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat and representatives of the three countries set to stage the event, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka, according to ICC media release.
This event telecast will go live on STAR Cricket from evening 5:30 PM local time India and you can watch the highlights of it on next day.
its good for Indian ocean than we are going to host cricket world cup 2011 but i think the opening ceremony of cricket world cup should be held in any Indian metro city like Delhi , Mumbai or Bangalore…..but its ok best of luck to Bangladesh
