West Indies beat Bangladesh who scored an extremely poor total today! Read the post match analysis here.

The West Indies trio of Kemar Roach (3-19), Darren Sammy (3-21) and Sulieman Benn (4-18) bowled brilliantly as they ran riot as they bowling out Bangladesh for 58 - their lowest ever total in one-day cricket, and then the batsmen chased down the meagre total in just 12.2 overs to give West Indies a nine wicket victory over the Tigers in a Group-B match played at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first but got off to a disastrous start as they lost their in-form opener Tamim Iqbal in the first over, caught in slips off Kemar Roach.

Sammy then took the wickets of Imrul Kayes and Mushfiqur Rahim in successive overs, while Junaid Siddique, who played a gutsy innings of 25 off 27 deliveries with four hits to the fence, was trapped leg before wicket via a superb yorker from Roach to reduce Bangladesh to 36-4 in the ninth over.

The windies seemed to be on top of their game as Benn cleaned up skipper Shakib Al Hasan, bowling him through the gate. Raqibul Hasan played a bad shot only to be caught by Pollard at point for four off the bowling of Sammy. Benn then got into the act getting the wicket of Naeem Islam caught behind for one.

Mohammad Ashraful, who showed some form hitting two boundaries through the off side, was then caught behind for 11 as Bangladesh was reduced to 56 for 8 from 18 overs. Benn picked up the last two wickets having Shafiul Islam caught at second slip by Kieron Pollard, and then cleaning up Rubel Hossain two balls later to end Bangladesh innings on 58.

The spectators were clearly frustrated with the home team's performance as they showered papers onto the field. Bangladesh had lost their last five wickets for just eight runs in six overs. In reply, West Indies, chasing a meagre total of 59, lost the wicket of Devon Smith,   who was cleaned up by off-spinner Naeem Islam for nine in the sixth over of the innings with the score on 29. But Chris Gayle  and Darren Bravo made sure that there were no more slip-ups as they shared an unbeaten partnership of 30 runs in 7.1 overs to finish off the match in the 13th over.

Gayle, who passed 8,000 ODI runs in the match, remained unbeaten on 37 off 36 deliveries with six hits to the fence, while Bravo remained not out on nine off 26 deliveries with one hit to the fence.
Paceman Kemar Roach was named the man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance of 3 for 19.
