Sri Lanka, Australia battle today in ICC World Cup

Mar 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka and the defending champions Australia will battle it out in the Group A match of ICC World Cup at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Sri Lanka at the second position above Australia on the run rate is pumped up with the return of Lasith Malinga who set a record of second hat-trick in a World Cup match against Kenya on Tuesday.

Sri Lanka is also expected to use all their spinners - Muttiah Muralitharan, Ajantha Mendis and Rangana Herath - for today's clash, what may be a thrilling encounter.

However, Sri Lanka is cautious about Australia's pace attack. Aussies are expected to throw in their seamers Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee and Shaun Tait.

The match will start at 2:30 p.m. local time.
