Cricket or classes: Students want both

Cricket in the time of exams can be tough on students. Faced with such an unpleasant situation, students are strategist on which parts of the match they would like to watch if they were given around just an hour of viewing time per match. Teachers and parents too agree that a blanket ban on watching such a big sporting event would do more harm than good. So study timetables are being reworked according to important match schedules and parents are thinking up ways to make the best of the situation. Sumathi Rajan, parent of Class 12 student Santhosh said, "We had already clearly charted out his revision timetable, but after the match schedules were announced we juggled it a bit so he can watch some of the matches."
